Parke County, Indiana

Parke County, Indiana is located in west-central Indiana, due west of Indianapolis. Its western border is the Wabash River.
There are no known Black Hawk war scare anecdotes from Parke County.
The southwest portion of the county, below the Ten O'Clock Treaty Line was ceded to the United States in the Treaty of Fort Wayne (1809).
