Lorancie Schellhous

Lorancie Schellhous (born May 10, 1793 in Ferrisburgh Township, Vermont, died at age 84 ca. 1877) did not serve in the militia, but participated in the building of Fort Hogan during the Black Hawk war. His autobiographical reminiscences provide one of the two first-hand accounts of that episode.
